Jung Ho Yeon Of Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ Becomes Instagram’s Most Followed Korean Actress!

Who would have thought that Netflix's "Squid Game" actress would amass such a huge following on Instagram in just a couple of weeks!

Netflix's "Squid Game" is currently one of the most if not the most popular shows in the world. With the popularity of the show rising, the popularity of the actors and actresses also went on to skyrocket. 

This was recently seen as the main actress of the program had a sudden surge of followers. Jung Ho Yeon, a now popular actress-model, becomes the most followed Korean actress on Instagram, following the success of the show. 

Notably, Jung Ho Yeon debuted as an actress in Netflix's "Squid Game" and she suddenly was propelled into superstardom as viewers thoroughly loved her character. 

Not long ago on the 1st of October, she had an interview with Herald POP and she talked about a lot of things, more specifically on her growth and the support she has received both from her supportive boyfriend Lee Dong Hwi and her close friend BLACKPINK's Jennie.

Jung Ho Yeon was cast the character Kang Sae Byeok. Sae Byeok is a North Korean defector who is very protective and caring for her younger brother. She becomes a part of 'Squid Game' to win enough money to bring the rest of her family over to South Korea from North Korea.

Notably, Jung Ho Yeon made her Instagram account in September but started getting a sudden influx of followers, initially having 400,000 to 1.4 million in just a couple of days. After two weeks, Jung Ho Yeon now has more than 13.6 million followers on Instagram.

As per estimates, actress Jung Ho Yeon is garnering an amazing 10,000 followers every half hour!

Previously, the title for most followed Korean actress was previously held by actress Lee Sung Kyung, who currently has 12.9 million followers on Instagram.
