Jung Ho Yeon, a model, and actress, recently talked about her immense popularity, supporting boyfriend, and bestie, who is BLACKPINK's Jennie, in a recent interview!
Netflix's hit series "Squid Game" is a series revolving around a survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won, which is around $40 million. Jung Ho Yeon was cast as Sae Byeok, a North Korean defector with a tragic past and a bleak future.
Notably, Jung Ho Yeon debuted as an actress in Netflix's "Squid Game" and she suddenly was propelled into superstardom as viewers thoroughly loved her character.
Just recently on the 1st of October, she had an interview with Herald POP and she talked about a lot of things, more specifically on her growth and the support she has received.
As per Jung Ho Yeon, her instantaneous popularity from "Squid Game" was so surreal to her until she began taking part in interviews, most especially due to the reason that everything nowadays is online and she has barely had the chance to see fans in real life.
Furthermore, Jung Ho Yeon expressed that does not have any goals as an actress. She just wants to improve and maintain a steady pace without losing her resolve to work hard. The model-turned-actress added that she may waver, but she'll work hard.
Aside from herself, Jung Ho Yeon also talked about her boyfriend who is also an actor, Lee Dong Hwi, and her close personal friend, BLACKPINK's Jennie.
Notably, Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Dong Hwi have been dating since 2016 and she shared that he is very proud of her success and "Squid Game." "Since he's also an actor, he's a good senior, a good friend, and a good person, he cheers me on a lot, and he worries for me as well. He's sort of like a dad," Jung Ho Yeon revealed.
Adding to this, BLACKPINK's Jennie previously sent a coffee truck to the set of Netflix's "Squid Game" to support Jung Ho Yeon, even actively cheering the actress on!
As per Jung Ho Yeon, BLACKPINK's Jennie was happy for her ever since she told her that she was cast in "Squid Game."
