‘Squid Game’ Beats ‘Sex Education, As Netflix’ Top TV Show On Week 39, 2021
It was previously reported that a South Korean internet provider SK Broadband has sued Netflix due to the increased network traffic caused by the extreme popularity of "Squid Game." In particular, SK broadband revealed that the network traffic of Netflix increased by more than 24x due to popular K-Dramas that can be streamed on the platform.
In addition, SK Broadband shared that Netflix owes them $22.9 million dollars for 2020 alone. Still, Netflix is one of two companies that are not required by law to pay any network fees.
