BLINKs Emotional As BLACKPINK’s Lisa Opens Up On How Difficult Her Trainee Days Were
In a recent interview on the "Woody Show," with Lisa, she revealed how she became so attached to her feline companions among other things.
BLINKs (the fandom name of BLACKPINK) are aware that BLACKPINK's Lisa is a major cat lover. At present, Lisa has five cats in her prestigious 'L Family'; Leo, Luca, Lily, Louis, and Lego.
BLACKPINK's Lisa revealed that her love for cats has always been there since she was still a kid. Furthermore, BLACKPINK's Lisa personally hinted that she feels like the personalities of cats match well with her.
BLACKPINK's Lisa noted that she feels so connected with her current cats, she doesn't mind if they are naughty at times. Beyond this, the Thai idol also talked about her trainee days for YG.
Lisa auditioned for YG Entertainment 11 years ago in 2010 and she officially became their first non-Korean trainee a year later in 2011.
Lisa was shocked as she felt alone in a foreign country. It was even harder for her as her parents had to return to Thailand ASAP.
"There was that moment when my mom and dad told me they were leaving. And I said, 'You guys are leaving? Am I not going with you?' My mom said, 'Nope. You're staying here for three months.' I was like, 'What?' I was shocked, [thinking] 'They're leaving me here alone?' and they left," Lisa shared.
The hardest part of being a trainee for Lisa though was being independent at such an early age. It was hard for Lisa to separate from her family to chase after her dreams of becoming a K-pop idol, but maybe she was not that truly alone as she had friends in the industry.
BLACKPINK's Lisa added, "Sometimes when I feel tired, I just wanna hug my mom. But I couldn't. We could only do video calls. And the language barrier, it was tough because I couldn't communicate."
But it was all worth it as BLACKPINK's Lisa is now highly successful!
