ARMYs Brokenhearted As BTS Confirm Cancellation Of Their ‘Map of the Soul Tour’
Just recently, HYBE's BTS went on to confirm the postponement of their Map of the Soul Tour. This is the report gathered from a post made on Weverse and BTS' official Twitter account which was posted by their agency.
A representative for BTS themselves even went on to confirm to a popular media outlet that the dates that were previously announced last year in January 2020 have been officially canceled.
BTS' label revealed that their company has worked hard to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour. They know that all the ARMYs (the fandom name of BTS) have been anticipating and waiting patiently for BTS' supposed tour.
HYBE continued, "However, due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned. Therefore we must announce the cancellation of the BTS Map of the Soul Tour."
Notably, the North American part of BTS' tour was first postponed in March of last year due to the COVID-19 virus. Initially, it was scheduled to start one month later. Previously, the agency also canceled a handful of concerts in South Korea.
But the supposed rescheduling dates were not announced before the cancellation of BTS' Map of the Soul Tour.
"We regret that we must now inform you of the formal cancellation of the tour. For fans who have reserved tickets for the North American shows, you will receive an email from your original point of purchase regarding refunds," BTS' agency noted.
BTS' agency then went on to offer their most sincere apology to all the fans who were excited for the BTS Map Of The Soul Tour to continue. HYBE added that they are working to prepare a viable schedule and performance format that can meet the expectations of fans.
"We will provide updated notices as soon as possible," the K-pop boy group's agency concluded.
