Stray Kids’ Hyunjin’s Hiatus Possibly Over? Visual & Dancer Surprises STAYS In ‘Mixtape: OH’
After months of not hearing any updates regarding the status of Stray Kids' Hyunjin after his hiatus, STAYs were given a pleasant surprise in Stray Kids' most recent musical release.
JYP Entertainment's Stray Kids dropped a new music video on their YouTube channel for STAYs, the name of their fandom. Aside from top-notch acting, amazing vocals, and undeniable visuals, STAYs were treated to an unexpected yet very welcomed surprise.
Earlier this year, JYP Entertainment revealed that Stray Kids' Hyunjin will be on an indefinite hiatus. This worried fans but everything seemed to be set right recently as Hyunjin made an appearance in the music video for Stray Kids' "Mixtape: OH."
Since his hiatus, STAYs have been asking for updates regarding Hyunjin. His agency, JYP Entertainment, even revealed that they were aware of how much STAYs missed Hyunjin and will reveal any updates when things get finalized.
Instead of announcing it, JYP Entertainment opted to surprise STAYs instead when Stray Kids' Hyunjin became a part of their latest musical release. Hyunjin has not been able to be a part of Stray Kids' activities since February. But perhaps this is a step in the right direction.
Aside from Stray Kids' "Mixtape: OH," Hyunjin was also credited in the cover image for Stray Kids' most recent cover image for the digital single. Hyunjin's name was featured alongside the other members of Stray Kids.
Within hours of the release of the music video for "Mixtape: OH," it has already garnered 3,750,578 views, over a million likes, and 252,305 comments. Most of the comments are STAYs sharing how much they missed the Stray Kids visual.
JYP Entertainment has not released any announcement regarding if Stray Kids' Hyunjin will continue activities with the K-pop group, moving forward. But this is a great start to see where things are going towards the status of Hyunjin's hiatus.
Welcome back, Hyunjin!
