Netizens Worried As Lovelyz Jisoo Becomes Positive With COVID-19 + Updates On Other Members

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 23rd of June, Lovelyz agency, Woollim Entertainment, released a statement regarding Jisoo's status. The statement being:

"Hi.

This is Woollim Entertainment.

Seo Jisoo of Lovelyz is confirmed to have the COVID-19 as of the morning of the 22nd of June.

Jisoo got preemptive testing after being told on the afternoon of June 21 that a staff member was diagnosed with COVID-19, following that, she was confirmed to have tested positive on the morning of June 22.

As a result, she has halted all activities, and the measures required by health authorities are being taken.

The members of Lovelyz and other staff members who have been classified as those who came into close contact with Jisoo were tested on the afternoon of the 22nd of June and have also entered self-quarantine.

With the safety of our artists and employees as the top priority, we will follow the requests and guidelines of health authorities as the test results are released.

We ask for your understanding regarding the concern caused, and we will put in our full effort to follow COVID-19 guidelines and take preventive measures.

Other members of Lovelyz and staff who were close to the members will be in self-quarantine until the 4th of July. 

Ahead of the COVID-19 issue, Lovelyz's Mijoo was supposed to appear on tvN's show entitled "Sixth Sense 2." Moreover, Mijoo was also slated to appear as a DJ on SBS Power FM's "Cultwo Show," but it was ultimately canceled due to Jisoo testing positive.

Another member of Lovelyz, Kei, was supposed to be acting in the musical entitled "Midnight Sun" and was slated to appear on the 26th of June and the 3rd of July, but her appearances are now canceled as well.

To add to this, Lovelyz's virtual event on the 27th of June has also been canceled.
