INFINITE

Woollim Entertainment's INFINITE debuted back on the 9th of June, 2010. Initially, there were seven members who made up the K-pop group. The members were Sungkyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L, Hoya, and Sungjong.

In 2017, Hoya left the group due to conflicting interests with the company. Since then, the six members of INFINITE have been pushing on. But due to recent reports, three of the six members have recently decided not to renew their contracts, making things complicated for the K-pop group.

The 31st of March marked the day that Woollim Entertainment confirmed that 3 of the 6 members of INFINITE would not be returning to the company. Due to this, fans are currently worried about the future of INFINITE. As per reports from insiders, most of the members will leave the company.

Sungyeol, Similar to his fellow members L and Hoya, is reported to transition to acting at this point in his career.

The insider shared that it was noted that after 11 years, the members all had their own unique inside stories that made them choose to stand alone. Hoya and L have turned into actors, and it looks like Sungyeol, who was unable to renew his contract on the 31st of March, will be promoted as an acting idol until he can find a new management agency.

Moreover, it was also confirmed that Sunggyu has been in talks and negotiations with a big undisclosed agency. However, it was reported that no agreement came to fruition, and he was not signed.

On the other end of the spectrum, INFINITE's rapper, Dongwoo, is also wanting to join a company that is more hip hop oriented.

However, Sungjong, the maknae of the group, is rumored to negotiate his contract with Woollim. This will happen after his military service.

Note that although these members have left the company, they have not left INFINITE.

In terms of the remaining members, it was reported that Woohyun was able to do a contract renewal before enlisting in the military. He will return this August.

L will be the most recent member to finish his military service. Additionally, within three years, a comeback is not impossible if the members decide on a decision.

This means that there is a huge possibility for INFINITE to have a full member promotion.
