Cube Entertainment Releases Statement On (G)I-DLE’s Minnie’s Status On COVID-19 Test
A big part of the world is still currently severely undergoing the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, most if not all countries are still undergoing proper distancing and hygiene rules. But although the rules help, there is still a chance that a person can get the COVID-19 virus.
This was recently evident as a staff working with a popular female K-pop idol was positive with the virus, thus putting the K-pop idol and other staff at risk.
(G)I-DLE, Cube entertainment's 6 member K-pop girl group, consists of Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. Recently, Neverlands (the fandom name of (G)I-DLE) were worried about one member of (G)I-DLE as she was under threat of being positive with the COVID-19 virus.
As of writing this article, yesterday on the 23rd of June, (G)I-DLE's agency, Cube Entertainment, dropped an announcement with regards to (G)I-DLE's Minnie that the main vocalist was recently tested for the COVID-19 virus.
Cube Entertainment's statement is as follows:
"Hi, this is Cube Entertainment.
On the 20th of June, one of the staff members who worked with Minnie in Thailand was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus.
Accordingly, (G)I-DLE's Minnie visited the hospital on the morning of the 22nd of June to undergo a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, and she received negative results on the 23rd of June.
Although she has tested negative for COVID-19, she will cooperate with the Thailand government's policy and self-quarantine at her home for the time being.
Once again, we apologize for causing concern to many people.
We will follow the guidelines of the Thailand government and do our best for the health and safety of artists."
Fortunately, (G)I-DLE's Minnie went on to test negative for the COVID-19 virus. Moving forward, Minnie will be following Thailand's regulation on the pandemic. Moreover, hopefully, the staff that was positive will quickly recover.
