KQ Entertainment Confirms! ATEEZ’s Mingi Had A Part In Latest Song For Mnet’s ‘Kingdom’
The finale of Mnet's "Kingdom" will be broadcasted live on the 3rd of June, 7:50 p.m. Korean Standard Time. Stray Kids, BTOB, ATEEZ, THE BOYZ, iKON, and SF9's final performances have been teased in the uploaded preview.
But among the 6 K-pop boy groups performing, 1 group in particular will have a very special performance on Mnet's finale for "Kingdom: Legendary War."
In November of 2021, ATEEZ's Mingi reportedly went on a temporary hiatus due to psychological anxiety. Albeit ATEEZ's Mingi was recently seen at the airport with the other ATEEZ members, it is confirmed that the status of his hiatus still has not changed.
As of writing this article, one day ago on the 27th of May, Mnet uploaded a sneak peek of ATEEZ's new song for their highly anticipated final round of "Kingdom: Legendary War." Such is the case for all the 6 participants.
Similarly, on the 27th of May, ATEEZ's agency, KQ Entertainment officially confirmed that Mingi will not be performing in the finale of Mnet's "Kingdom."
But ATEEZ's Mingi participated in ATEEZ's new song for Mnet's finale of "Kingdom."
KQ Entertainment announced the following:
"Hello, this is KQ Entertainment.
'The Real,' ATEEZ's new track for the finale of Mnet's 'Kingdom,' will be released online on all major music platforms tomorrow, May 28 at 12:00 p.m.
ATEEZ completed recording for their new song 'The Real,' which they will perform in the final round, before Mingi halted his activities. Therefore, the version of the song that will be released is the full, ATEEZ eight-member version, but like all of their other Mnet's 'Kingdom' performances up until now, the group will be performing the seven-member version on stage during the show.
We ask in advance for the understanding of the many ATINY who, after hearing Mingi's voice in the song, might feel happy and surprised and look forward to seeing a full eight-member performance on the show.
We ask that all ATINY show interest and support for ATEEZ's new song for Mnet's 'Kingdom,' entitled 'The Real,' as well as their final performance.
