After 17 Years, Sandara Park Is Leaving YG Entertainment

It's official, Sandara Park is leaving YG Entertainment after 17 years. 

Today, May 14, YG Entertainment announced that the exclusive contract between them and Sandara Park has expired. Sandara is the last 2NE1 member to leave the agency.

Meanwhile, in their official statement released to the press, YG Entertainment expressed their gratitude towards Sandara Park, who has given them faith and trust during the 17 years that the singer-actress has been with them. 

Furthermore, YG Entertainment shared that because of the relationship shared with the 2NE1 member, they will always support Sandara Park in all her future endeavors. They also promised fans that the agency will continue to help her prepare for a fresh new beginning.

"YG will always support her endeavors and will continue to help her as she prepares for her new start." YG Entertainment said.

Moreover, YG Entertainment thanked fans for their love and support towards Sandara Park.

"Thank you again for loving YG Entertainment's artist, Sandara Park, this whole time," YG Entertainment expressed in an official statement.

Following her successful stint as an actress and singer in the Philippines, Sandara went back to her home country, South Korea. In 2004, she joined YG Entertainment. Sandara Park debuted with YG Entertainment's first-ever girl group, 2NE1, along with members CL, Minzy, and Park Bom. With 2NE1, Sandara Park became an iconic idol with her stunning visuals, cute personality, and incredible talent. Her group, 2NE1, also became a household name for being the first girl idol group to try the girl crush concept. Some of 2NE1's iconic releases include "I Don't Care," "I Am The Best," "Fire," and "Comeback Home."

Aside from being a girl group member, Sandara has been promoting in various fields such as fashion, acting, MC, and music. 

As of this writing, there is no news about Sandara Park's future plans, while rumors about a 2NE1 reunion came out recently.
