‘YES Or YES’ To Another Milestone: JYP Entertainment’s TWICE Does It ONCE Again
The popularity of a K-pop group can be estimated via the views they garner from their uploaded music videos. If a K-pop group can get millions of hits within the first few hours of them uploading their latest videos, props can be given on how famous they are.
Beyond their initial amount of views, the views they keep getting years after the initial release of their music videos also expand on their popularity.
With that, one of the most domestically and globally popular female K-pop groups attained another milestone with a music video they released almost three years ago.
TWICE is a K-pop girl group that consists of 9 members. The members being Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
The K-pop girl group made its debut on the 20th of October, 2015, via the survival show "Sixteen," which was handled by their agency, JYP Entertainment.
Last year, as of February 2020, JYP Entertainment started partnering with Republic Records to help promote TWICE globally. This was proven to be a good venture and recently, the fruits of their labour once again proved to be productive.
Once again, TWICE reaches another milestone with one of their music videos going beyond 300 million views and having joined the 300 million views club on YouTube!
As of writing this article, on the 12th of April, approximately around 10:55 p.m. Korean Standard Time, the music video for TWICE's "YES or YES" went beyond 300 million views on YouTube.
The MV dropped on the 5th of November, 2018, so it took a little over 2 years for the music video to reach 300 million views.
TWICE's other songs that reached 300 million views are "TT," "LIKEY," "Cheer Up," "Like OOH-AHH," "What is Love?", "Heart Shaker," "FANCY," and "Feel Special." This means that "YES or YES" is the K-pop girl group's ninth MV to have gone beyond 300 million hits on YouTube.
