Being A Lone Rose: BLACKPINK Vocalist, Rosé, Voices Out How She Feels Going Solo
When BLACKPINK's main vocalist, Rosé, made her debut on the 12th of March, she became the second BLACKPINK member to have a solo debut, second to the "Queen Of K-pop," Jennie.
Rosé's album, entitled "R," has a special meaning. The title is not only a homage to Rosé's name but also signifying her solo debut, hence the single "R." The solo album has two songs, both of which are English. The songs are "On the Ground" and "Gone."
This was presented by Rosé back in January during BLACKPINK's online concert, "The Show."
When Rosé made her debut, she made an almost immediate immense impact. Only in just 4 hours right after its release, it achieved an amazing 9 million views.
In her music video, Rosé gave her all and shined like a K-pop queen, evidently in "On The Ground." Promptly, BLACKPINK's Rosé's solo debut has already gotten so many laurels.
In an episode of "ROSÉ "On The Ground" | Countdown to Premiere," which was uploaded a couple of days ago on the 12th of March, BLACKPINK's Rosé shared her thoughts on going solo. Although happy, she would never have gotten this far without the help of her members.
To further expound on this, Rosé said that she honestly believes that being initially in BLACKPINK helped incredibly improve herself, thus giving her the ability to be able to do this solo debut. She continued by saying that without the other members of YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK, she could not possibly have garnered what she achieved now.
The members of BLACKPINK are all one of the most popular K-pop idols in the world. Regardless of their release, BLINKs will surely seem to support them. After Rosé's debut, only Lisa and Jisoo have not released solo projects. Due to this, all eyes are on Lisa as she is projected next to debut solo.
