After BLACKPINK Rosé’s Successful Solo Debut, All Eyes Are On Lisa As She Is Up Next
BLACKPINK's main vocalist and resident New Zealand native, Rosé, had an amazing solo debut yesterday, on the 12th of March
The BLACKPINK vocalist shows her beauty and grace in her official music video for "On The Ground." BLACKPINK's Rosé made her solo debut with her music video at exactly 0 AM EST. Twenty-three hours later, the music video for "On The Ground" has already garnered over 38 million views.
After Jennie's debut with "Solo," which was released on the 12th of November, 2018, Rosé is the second member of YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK to make her solo debut. Additionally, Rosé also released an album entitled "R." The album is made up of two English tracks, "On the Ground," and "Gone," and the title connects to the first letter of her name alongside her solo debut.
In a recent press release, Rosé said that since she has been preparing for her album for such a long time, she wanted it to be as close to perfect as it can be to ensure the fans will be satisfied.
With that, the amount of views on her music video and amount of sales she has already garnered showed that BLINKS and her personal fans are really into her latest release. More is expected for Rosé due to her widely successful debut. But now that Rosé has had her debut, all eyes slowly turn to BLACKPINK's main dancer, Lisa.
Back in December of 2020, YG Entertainment revealed that BLACKPINK's Rosé's solo debut would be coming first with the maknae, Lisa, to come right after.
Lisa, known as a very bombastic rapper and a dancing machine, is expected to have her solo consist of a very energetic dance routine and catchy rap verses alongside mellow vocal add ons. But these are just speculations and no specific details have been released. Regardless, Lisa's solo debut will be highly expected and is surely coming soon.
