Here’s Why EXO Visual And Maknae, Sehun’s Film Releasing In China Is A Good Thing
A Chinese movie set to be released very soon entitled "Catman" and directed by South Korean director, Park Hee-gon, stars EXO's South Korean K-pop idol and actor, Oh Se-hun. Se-hun will be playing as the main act and the film has finally gotten a release date in mainland China, which is next week on the 14th of March.
"Catman" was produced five years ago in 2016 and was initially set for viewing on the silver screen in the year 2017. The movie's release date on the Chinese mainland is a big deal because it shows that China is once again reopening their doors to the South Korean media.
Additionally, although he debuted his acting career last 2012, this signifies EXO's Se-hun's debut on the Chinese silver screen. This has made his Chinese fanbase go crazy and extremely excited for "Catman." After four years of waiting, Se-hun's fans can finally see him on the big screen.
With that, critics on movies are expecting that "Catman" will garner a lot of support from the fans of Se-hun. Aside from EXO's maknae, other Chinese celebrities are also set to appear in the film, so everyone is assuming that "Catman" will garner a huge box office profit on the day of its release in mainland China.
Initially, Se-hun's film "Catman" was supposedly scheduled to be out in cinemas after a film titled "So, I Married My Anti-fan." The film is both a Chinese and South Korean production who also was starring another member of EXO, Park Chanyeol. Chanyeol's movie was out back in June of 2016.
After Chanyeol's film, South Korean media and entertainment was already not appearing in mainland China so "Catman" really shows how the relationship between the two countries is improving.
If you are from mainland China, "Catman" is the film to watch and it is expected to be a huge hit once it lands on the Chinese silver screen.
