Not An ‘Illusion’: aespa Surprises MYs With Comeback Announcement, A Pre-Release Track, & More

June is starting off amazing for MYs. Aside from the official announcement of aespa's highly-anticipated comeback, the SM Entertainment girl group surprised their fans with something immensely exciting!
On the 1st of June, SM Entertainment's aespa revealed that they would be making their highly-awaited comeback this July. The girl group will do so with their second mini-album entitled "Girls."
Soon after, SM Entertainment also announced that their girl group signed with Warner Records. The partnership entailed the pre-releasing of aespa's English-language single entitled "Life's Too Short" on the 24th of June.
Notably, aespa's Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing first performed the song at Coachella back in April of this year.

Though the news did not stop here for MYs. Later on in the afternoon, aespa surprisingly dropped a brand-new song entitled "Illusion." Fans were happy to hear the new song from the girl group's upcoming mini-album.

Adding to this, the SM artists had more exciting news for fans. Apple Music then officially announced that aespa was their "Up Next" artist for the month of June. This makes aespa only the second Asian artist after their labelmate NCT 127 to ever be chosen for the title.
