End Of An Era: CLC’s Seungyeon & Yeeun Officially Parts Ways With Cube Entertainment!

Previously in 2021, former CLC members Elkie and Sorn left Cube Entertainment, the first two members of the K-pop girl group to do so, to the sadness of netizens and K-pop fans.

Following in the footsteps of Elkie and Sorn, CLC's Seungyeon and Yeeun have now recently parted ways with Cube Entertainment as the K-pop idol's contracts have notably expired. CLC has not officially disbanded but former members have confirmed that they will no longer do promotions.

Furthermore, Cube Entertainment has shared in a recent press release with multiple media outlets the status of former CLC members Seungyeon and Yeeun with the K-pop company.

Cube Entertainment's full announcement regarding CLC Seungyeon and Yeeun's departure is as follows:

"Hello, this is Cube Entertainment.

We would like to inform you that our exclusive contracts with artists Jang Seungyeon and Jang Yeeun have concluded.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the two who have been with us for seven years since their debut.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the fans who have supported them and shown tremendous love for their activities. We ask that you continue to support them.

We will support the future of both of them, who are beginning a new chapter of their lives.

Thank you."

Cheshires, the fandom name of CLC, are wishing both Seungyeon and Yeeun good fortunes in their future endeavors, may it be in K-pop or otherwise. CLC made their debut under Cube Entertainment on the 19th of March, 2015 with their mini-album "First Love" and the title track "PePe".
