Generous Queens: IU & Actress Kim Go Eun Give Sizeable Donations To Wildfire Victims In Uljin!
Just recently, a tragedy befell the seaside town of Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province as a large wildfire began. Unfortunately, the wildfire spread to the nearby city of Samcheok in Gangwon Province and destroyed over a hundred homes.

A day after this tragedy, the Hope Bridge Association of the National Disaster Relief revealed that K-pop star IU had donated 100 million won (approximately $82,200) to help in temporary housing for victims of the wildfire.
Notably, IU made the donation after hearing of the wildfire and wanting to help the victims of the tragedy. Her donation will be used to build temporary housing for families who have lost their houses in the wildfire and have nowhere else to settle.
"In a situation where many victims are suffering after losing their homes due to the sudden wildfire, IU's warmhearted assistance will enable us to support the things they need until they can return to their daily lives," the secretary-general of the Hope Bridge Association explained.
Adding to this, Actress Kim Go Eun also donated to the Hope Bridge Association, as she gave 50 million won (approximately $41,100) for the aid of the wildfire victims.
"I am very worried for the people who have lost their places of living due to the wildfire. I hope that the fire is quickly extinguished and does not spread further. I hope that this can be of warm assistance to the local residents who are victims and to the firefighters as well," Kim Go Eun revealed.
