The previous year was an absolute win for K-dramas fans as Korean actors and actresses brought their A-game to bring out some amazing performances. Specifically, some actresses played their characters so well, netizens & fans can't wait on what they have to offer this 2022.

In no particular order, here are the K-drama actresses who had outstanding performances in 2021:

Honey Lee in "One The Woman"

Honey Lee's dual roles of Kang Mi Na and Jo Yeon Joo in the K-drama "One The Woman" really showed how wide her acting range is as she masterfully portrayed two different characters. Due to this, Honey Lee bagged the Best Actress award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.

Kim So Yeon in "The Penthouse"

Kim So Yeon's skills were on full display during her portrayal of Cheon Seo-jin in the K-drama "The Penthouse." Due to her amazing performance, Kim So Yeon took home both the Daesang at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards and the best Actress award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

Jung Ho Yeon in "Squid Game"

Breakout actress Jung Ho Yeon rose to superstardom with her very first role as Kang Sae Byeok in Netflix's K-drama "Squid Game." For her amazing acting debut, Jung Ho Yeon has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series at the 28th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

Shin Hye Sun in "Mr. Queen"

One of the many reasons why "Mr. Queen" had one of the highest premiere ratings of any weekend K-drama in the history of tvN is Shin Hye Sun's amazing portrayal of Jang Bong Hwan. Shin Hye Sun did such a great job, she received a nomination for Best Actress at the 2021 Baeksang Arts Awards.

Han So Hee in "My Name"

One of the best actresses of 2021 is Han So Hee for her role as Ji Woo in the popular K-drama "My Name". The Korean model and actress's transformation and versatility was seen in the drama and fans were truly amazed at the limits she broke for her performance.

Han Hyo Joo in "Happiness"

Han Hyo Joo plays the character Yoon Sae Bom in "Happiness," a tactical agent in the Seoul Police Special Operations Unit. The actress's ability to show a carefree yet courageous spirit was amazing and netizens and fans genuinely fell head over heels for the actress.

Kim Go Eun in "Yumi's Cells"

Kim Go Eun stars as one of the most well-loved characters of 2021; Yumi from the K-drama "Yumi's Cells." The actress was able to properly show the emotions of a simple woman who, although has a hard time expressing her emotions, still does her best to find love.

Go Min Si in "Youth Of May"

Go Min Si portrays Kim Myung Hee, a nurse during the period of 1980 in May which is a historically significant time where there was a plethora of political upheaval, in the K-drama "Youth of May." Netizens and fans loved Go Min Si's performance and they can not wait to see more of her.

Shin Min Ah in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha"

Shin Min Ah is known for always doing an amazing job, but fans and netizens truly applauded her for her most recent role as the character Yoon Hye Jin in the K-drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha." 

Lee Se Young in "The Red Sleeve"

Lee Se Young's role as Seong Deok Im in the K-drama "The Red Sleeve" was perfect and the actress's personal fans rose in number due to this. Lee Se Young has gone on to win the Best Couple award with Lee Junho and the Best Actress award at the 2021 MBC Drama Awards.

Furthermore, Lee Se Young has gone on to rank high in a plethora of brand reputation rankings for months due to her amazing acting skills in her K-drama.
