Another NCT Mishap: NCT U’s Spotify Account Supposedly Becomes Hacked!
NCTzens, the fandom name of NCT and its sub-units, proved that they are once again one of the best K-pop fandoms as they were quick to respond to NCT U's Spotify being hacked.
On the 4th of January, NCTzens were able to see that a new track was posted on NCT U's official Spotify account. The song is not under SM Entertainment's K-pop boy group, and due to this, it made NCTzens believe that NCT U's Spotify was, in fact, hacked.
The song, entitled "What You Need," had SM Entertainment's NCT U listed as the artist on their Spotify account, but fans almost instantaneously knew that the song was not under the K-Pop boy group's discography.
NCTzens went on to check the track's credits, and the K-pop fans were able to see that the track was both written and produced by a person named Kemony. Notably, there is an artist named Kemony, and he has his own official Spotify account.
Due to this, NCTzens assume that he is the one guilty of hacking NCT U's Spotify account.
When playing the song, K-pop fans heard a trap beat with a male voice singing lyrics such as "Why am I so sad?" and "Everyone left me by my side," none of which are in any of NCT U's previous songs. NCTzens quickly went on Twitter and TikTok to make others aware.
Notably, this is not the first time NCT U's Spotify account was supposedly hacked. Previously in November of 2021, another artist's tracks were listed on the K-Pop boy group's Spotify. Furthermore, NCT's album was also leaked in December.

As of writing this article, SM Entertainment has not yet released a statement on the matter regarding NCT U.
