Soojin

It has been over a month since Soojin was forced to abruptly part ways with (G)I-DLE, but Neverlands and personal fans are still here supporting and defending the former main dancer.

Earlier this year, Soojin, similar to other K-pop idols, was plagued with bullying allegations and school violence accusations. Following a quick hiatus, Cube Entertainment, the agency of (G)I-DLE, announced out of nowhere that Soojin would be leaving the K-pop girl group.

Neverlands (the fandom name of (G)I-DLE) were thoroughly upset as they believed Cube Entertainment placed Soojin in a hiatus to rest as they further investigated the matter.

A proper example would be JYP Entertainment as they properly handled the bullying allegations of Stray Kids' Hyunjin and ITZY's Lia.

A reason for Cube's decision could be pointed towards some Korean fans urging to take action as bullying is a very serious offense in Korea. Due to her sudden parting of ways though, fans immediately took to social media to showcase their disgust.

The announcement of Soojin's departure from (G)I-DLE was released in the first half of August. Not even a month after the sudden news, fans are even more upset as it seems as though that (G)I-DLE is slowly erasing Soojin's mark in all of the content regarding (G)I-DLE.

Initially, fans were surprised that Soojin's name was being blurred in some vlogs and Soojin's previous posts were being removed from UCUBE, the platform of Cube where fans and artists interact.

Most of the time when an artist parts ways with their K-pop group, the agency does not remove the artist's previous content as fans have a special place in their hearts for them. But this seems to not matter in Cube Entertainment's case.

Cube Entertainment has not yet released a full explanation on the sudden removal of Soojin from (G)I-DLE and it seems as though the label has no plans to do so.
