As of writing this article, SM Entertainment's aespa is one of the top 4th-gen K-Pop idols. The girl group made their debut in November of 2020 with their hit song "Black Mamba." Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing then followed up with "Next Level" and "Savage."

Adding to this, earlier this month, aespa confirmed their return with an upcoming second mini-album which will be entitled "Girls." The album already went beyond one million stock pre-orders. This has gone on to set a new personal best for the K-Pop girl group.

Fans were hyped as 2022 has been aespa's year so far. But a recent issue could stop the girl group's hot streak.

Just recently, an audio clip made waves online communities. Netizens went on to claim that it was an English demo of aespa's new track "Girls." Furthermore, the posts also noted that producer Yoo Young Jin had a hand in making the new song.

If true, MYs were worried regarding aespa's new song being leaked. But an insider from SM Entertainment put their worries to ease. The employee expressed, "The relevant demo is not aespa's new song."

Fans can expect aespa's second mini-album "Girls" to be released on the 8th of July. The girl group will be pre-releasing their English-language single "Life's Too Short" on the 24th of June.
