THE Bs Upset At IST Entertainment For Mistreating THE BOYZ’s Korean Fans
The members of IST Entertainment's THE BOYZ are currently on their world tour for "THE B-ZONE." Notably, since the boy group has been traveling to other countries, some Korean fans decided to travel as well.
THE BOYZ's domestic fans made the effort to travel to other countries just to see the boy group performer. But discriminatory treatment from THE BOYZ's agency has gotten some fans in an uproar.
A plethora of Korean fans of THE BOYZ went on social media to share their concerns. These THE Bs shared that the agency of the boy group was strict specifically towards Korean fans. This is due to some fans allegedly being harassed.
The K-Pop fans noted that the management demanded Korean fans only to keep electronics in their bags before allowing them to board. Furthermore, THE BOYZ's Korean fans were also ordered their bodies to be searched as well.
Korean fans shared that the IST Entertainment staff told the Delta Airways staff to force Korean fans to comply before letting them board their flights.
Additionally, Korean fans noted that international fans who followed THE BOYZ to the U.S. had their phones out without a problem. Some even took photos of the members of the boy group to and from their flights.
Other fans also shared that the staff took photos of the Korean fans without permission. They did this to be familiar with the faces of Korean fans.
Though the reason why IST Entertainment was like this was to prevent sasaengs from following THE BOYZ. But mainly, fans were confused as to why other Korean fans had to be discriminated against even though they abided by the rules.
As of writing this article, THE BOYZ's label IST Entertainment has not yet responded to the issue.
