ENHYPEN Macau Concert Review: BLOOD SAGA Setlist
The third night was never supposed to exist. ENHYPEN's Oct. 17 and 18 shows at Macau's Galaxy Arena sold out about 10 minutes after the fan club presale opened in May, so Belift Lab added Oct. 16. By Sunday, around 30,000 people had come through three sold-out nights, and the group had played "Bad For You" and "Checkmate," two songs from THE SIN : BLISS, in front of a crowd for the first time.
A note on vantage first. This review was not written from the arena floor. It draws on allkpop's report on the three nights, Belift Lab's tour announcements and Korean coverage of the tour's May opening in Seoul. Those accounts give attendance, a partial setlist and the group's closing remarks. They do not capture the mix, how much of the vocal was live or how the staging read from the seats. Read what follows as a verdict on the show as documented, not as heard.
On that record, the setlist is the clearest evidence. The group performed 24 songs. Of those, allkpop names ten: the two premieres plus "Knife," "Daydream," "Outside," "Brought The Heat Back," "Bloody Paradise," "Bite Me," "Drunk-Dazed" and "Moonstruck." That is three fewer than the 27 songs ENHYPEN sang over 160 minutes at Seoul's KSPO Dome in May, when Korean outlets praised hand-mic vocals through dense choreography.
The premieres are the smartest decision reported. "Bad For You" came as an emotional stage; "Checkmate" ran on techno-based beats and a harder energy. Putting a slow-burn number and a club track into the set on the same night gave a six-member group two different arguments for itself in one debut. ENHYPEN has performed as six since Heeseung's departure in March, and THE SIN : BLISS is its first release as a six-piece. Debuting that record's new songs live with contrast, not with two more mid-tempo numbers, shows confidence. "Bloody Paradise," the title track, had already been staged in Busan in August, which left the premieres free to do something different.
The weakness is not in the choice of songs but in what the record of the night leaves unanswered. A tour called BLOOD SAGA is built on a dark-fantasy narrative and a performance-heavy reputation. Nothing in the accounts I found says how the choreography was rebuilt for six, or whether the narrative framing changed. Three fewer songs than Seoul, with only a minority of the named material coming from the new record, suggests a tighter show. It does not show a reworked one. That is the central tension: ENHYPEN is selling out arenas on the strength of a performance reputation, and the documentation of this stop celebrates the numbers while staying silent on how that performance now works with six.
For anyone holding tickets to the Japan dome run, the practical question is whether the six-member staging has been rebuilt since Seoul. The Macau coverage does not say, and a 24-song set against Seoul's 27 only hints at a tighter structure. Until a firsthand account of the sound, the formations and the vocals appears, the show earns credit for ambition and demand rather than for proof of execution.
The return counts for something. It was the group's first Macau shows in about two years and nine months, and the demand that forced a third night is the most reliable signal here. The members thanked ENGENE for filling the venue and for singing along.
The grade below covers the show as reported: strong demand, a sensible premiere pairing and a trimmed set, with the key staging questions unanswered.
THE SIN : BLISS is out now on Belift Lab. The BLOOD SAGA tour continues in Japan's four domes from December through February, then Asia and Europe through March.
