(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi Reveals That She Had To Break Personal Barriers For Their ‘TOMBOY’ Comeback
(G)I-DLE has been solidifying their titles as K-pop queens with their "TOMBOY" comeback. Not only has the K-pop group been garnering awards, but they have also topped multiple charts, and broke a plethora of personal records.
Just like any K-pop artist who drops a comeback, (G)I-DLE continued their promotions with a recent interview with Sakshma Srivastav of E Now. The K-pop girl group talked about their most recent comeback, latest concept, and many more.
While talking about their hit song "TOMBOY", the K-pop girl group talked about naming the member who changed the most in terms of growth during their comeback. Notably, (G)I-DLE's leader Soyeon named Yuqi as her choice.
"In my opinion, it was Yuqi. It was her first time being in charge of the part where she has to express her unique character more than her vocals, and I was surprised because she did such a good job. I think Yuqi grew and discovered her potential then," (G)I-DLE's Soyeon noted.
Happily, (G)I-DLE's Yuqi agreed, explaining how she truly pushed her personal limits as a K-pop artist to fit the concept of "TOMBOY"!
As per (G)I-DLE's Yuqi, prior to their comeback, she can say that she was not very outgoing or open-minded with her outfits or hairstyles. This is because everyone thinks that she was the one in the position of being the cute member, as per the K-pop idol.
"So, I really practiced a lot for the performance and the stages, and also, I really broke my walls with my outfits this time. I think this was my big challenge in this comeback, and I really appreciate Soyeon because she gave me the most important part of this album with "TOMBOY". So I really wanted to do a good job," (G)I-DLE's Yuqi went on to add.
Neverlands, the fandom name of (G)I-DLE, agree with Yuqi's sentiments as the K-pop idol has truly grown out of her cocoon.
