They went on to post the most recent teaser with the caption "The Witcher: A New Saga Begins," and it was noted that the video game will be on Unreal Engine 5. Specific details have been on the deal with Epic Games, rather than what the new "Witcher" game has in store.

CD Projekt Red called their announcement an exciting moment, explaining that this marks the start of a multi-year strategic partnership with Epic Games, covering not only licensing but technical development using the Unreal Engine 5.

Additionally, CD Projekt Red explained that it has been a great seven years since the release of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." But the video game's regular updates and appeal make it still feel pretty new.

CD Projekt Red's announcement also had no hints as to when the new "Witcher" game will release. As per CDPR, no further details regarding the game, such as a development time frame or release date, have been finalized.

It was already known that CD Projekt Red was working on a single-player game prior to "Cyberpunk 2020," but it was not confirmed whether or not it was the newest installment of CDPR's "Witcher" series, until now.

Adam Kiciński, the CD Projekt Red CEO, was already talking about the next "Witcher" series since the video game developer has never split its large team between more than two projects at the same time.

Although fans are excited for the new story in the "Witcher" universe, a lot of them are hoping that CD Projekt Red does not rush with their upcoming video game.
