Here are the best video games released in 2022 so far:

"Pokémon Legends: Arceus" for the Nintendo Switch

Nintendo's "Pokémon Legends: Arceus" is an alternative timeline in which the video game company lets go of Pokémon's RPG loop for something new and interesting. Notably, players can sneak up on Pokémon and catch them with a Poké Ball and even battle it out mano a mano without waiting for their turn.

"Nobody Saves the World" for PC and Xbox One

Most RPGs don't give players that much flexibility, but "Nobody Saves the World" is specifically designed to cater to that. The protagonist can change into 15 different forms and each form has its own set of abilities. Notablym the forms can be changed while doing different move sets across the board, giving this new video game a more detailed mood.

"Strange Horticulture" for PC

At its very core, "Strange Horticulture" is a video game about plants. This may seem boring, but by the time "Strange Horticulture" starts to become interesting, players will begin to appreciate the deduction system animating the design which drives the game forward.

"OlliOlli World" for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and Xbox One and Series S/X

"OlliOlli World" is a new take on skateboarding as a two-dimensional plane is used where forward momentum is key. Each level puts players into a unique obstacle course filled with ramps, rails, and half-pipes. This video game is among the simplest yet best releases of 2022 so far.

"Sifu" for the PlayStation 4 and 5 and PC

The video game "Sifu" is filled with kung fu tropes and its gameplay never moves out across a seven-hour running time. For players who love getting lost in a fun combat system, "Sifu" is one of the best games to play that has been released this 2022.

"Total War: Warhammer III" for PC

The Total War franchise is more than just sitting back and seeing your troops execute a planned maneuver. Backed by the Warhammer theme, "Total War: Warhammer III" is a fantastic jumping-off point for those who want to explore the lore of the franchise yet want to have the familiar feels of Total War.

"Horizon Forbidden West" for the PlayStation 4 and 5

"Horizon Forbidden West" is a competent open-world adventure that's at its best when players face off against its plethora of steel-plated enemies. But the video game's story will keep players interested as the lore in this sequel is truly something everyone wants to be engrossed in.

"Elden Ring" for the PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and Xbox One and Series S/X

FromSoftware's "Elden Ring" is its best release of the souls genre to date. From the video game's world map, it throws its linearity out the window and extends its grandeur in all directions. It's an amazing video game that all souls fans should and must experience.
