Netizens & K-Pop Fans Swarm Chungha With Support As K-Pop Soloist Defends Korea’s Hanbok!

Just recently, the 2022 Beijing Olympics kicked off and the global event is almost halfway done. But beyond the amazing sports and olympians who participated in the said activities, there is a certain issue that Koreans in particular have faced regarding the hanbok and many more.
As the 2022 Beijing Olympics progressed, tensions between Koreans and Chinese netizens have started to rise. This began when China claimed traditionally Korean culture such as the hanbok and kimchi began in China and were stolen by Koreans.
Following the cultural attack from China, a myriad of celebrities have decidedly begun wearing and defending the hanbok to solidify its status as a product from Korea and its culture. Celebrities have done this to fight against Chinese media attacks towards their country.
Notably, K-pop soloist Chungha, who is also known as CHUNG HA, has now joined in on the fray, joining the number of celebrities that are defending the hanbok. Due to this, Chungha has gotten a lot of love and support from netizens and fans.

In a recent online broadcast on her birthday, which is on the 9th of February, Chungha went on to repeat that the status of the hanbok is a Korean cultural emblem. The K-pop idol also shared that she wanted to further add more emphasis in the promotion of the hanbok in the future.
Aside from her fans, netizens overwhelmed her with loving and supporting comments. For the netizens, it was said that their country's culture should be handled by the government as strongly as celebrities do.
