Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" which was directed by Shinsuke Sato, was an immensely popular show on Netflix which is an adaptation of the manga of the same name that dropped on the 10th of December, 2020.

Moreover, Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" is one of the streaming site's most famous programs, getting a 7.7 score on IMDb.

Notably, Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" was only about 31 out of the 64 episodes of the manga. Due to this, a second season has been requested by fans and Netflix has heard their pleas.

Netflix has previously confirmed a second season.

The series was renewed for a second season last December and a release is expected around mid to late 2022. As per reports, Japan was under a strict "state of emergency" for six months during the lockdown, and those restrictions were lifted two months ago in September.

The main cast of Netflix's "Alice in Borderland" was made up of Kento Yamazaki, playing Ryohei Arisu, a gamer that has a high intellect. Alongside Arisu are his pals, Daikichi Karube and Chota Segawa, played by Keita Machida and Yuki Morinaga, respectively.

To supplement this cast were talented actors and actresses such as Tao Tsuchiya (playing Yuzuha Usagi), Nijiro Murakami (playing Chishiya), Asahina Aya (playing Kuina), Abe Tsuyoshi (playing Kuzuryu), Yoshida Mizuki (playing Asahi), and Naka Riisa (playing Mira).

Most of the cast is expected to return for the highly-anticipated second season of "Alice in Borderland" such as Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Aya Asahina, Nijiro Murakami, or Riisa Naka.

To give more hype to fans, during the Netflix Festival Japan 2021 event, Netflix announced the "New Live-Action Japanese Lineup" video which showed a number of shows coming in the near future.

Included in the range is the first look at Season 2 of the live-action adaptation of Haro Aso's "Alice in Borderland" manga!
