Previously on the 14th of May, YG Entertainment went on to announce that their exclusive contract between the agency and Sandara Park had expired. Notably, Sandara is the last 2NE1 member to leave the agency.
YG Entertainment released an official statement, expressing their gratitude towards Sandara Park, who has given them faith and trust during the 17 years that the singer-actress has spent with the agency.
Not long ago, Sandara Park has found a new home with another agency, continuing her legendary run in the industry. On September 1, Abyss Company posted on their social media, welcoming Sandara Park.
She is now labelmates with GOT7's BamBam, Sunmi, & more and it seems as though she might finally make her long awaited comeback under her new label! As of writing this article, yesterday on the 28th of September, fashion magazine DAZED dropped their interview featuring Dara!
In the interview, Dara gave her thoughts on being a part of Abyss Company and how it felt leaving YG Entertainment after 17 fruitful years.
"I was nervous about starting new at my agency. But everyone here, including labelmates, staff and CEO, were so welcoming and supportive," Dara explained.
As per Dara, some of her fans sent her flowers to her new agency as well which made her feel like she is already used to her new label.
"I've been really busy these days. I actually became busier after the pandemic. Things worked out for me well," Dara added, speaking about her work.
Dara went on by revealing that she has been doing a variety of work, except singing. It hasn't been so easy for her to do that for many reasons. But she is planning on working on an album soon.
"I want to do the sort of music that would allow me to highlight the song, performance as well as fashion," Dara wholesomely added.
Adding to that, Dara expressed her plans and interest in relaunching 'DARA TV', her personal YouTube channel.
