Racism Or Ignorance? ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Under Fire, Using Wrong Photo Of BTS!
Making mistakes is something that is normal and understandable but a show as popular as "The Kelly Clarkson Show" is expected to do better.
Just recently, "The Kelly Clarkson Show" had an episode that is also the premiere of the program's third season. The episode guested rapper Fat Joe and singer-actress Kristin Chenoweth. Moreover, Chris Martin from Coldplay made an appearance as a musical guest.
In Chris Martin's segment, the artist discussed what it was like to work with K-pop superstar, BTS, on Coldplay's latest song, "My Universe." Coldplay and BTS' highly anticipated collaboration is the 10th track on Coldplay's upcoming album entitled "Music of the Spheres."
Kelly Clarkson asked Chris Martin, "It's called 'My Universe,' and you did it with BTS, right?"
Kelly Clarkson even noted that she loves the premise as well as the fact that Coldplay and BTS worked together for a musical release. But it seems as though, although initially going smoothly, the show made a slip up that was not forgivable by ARMYs.
Instead of the actual photo of BTS, the program showed a photo of BLITZERS, which is a rookie K-pop boy group.
After this, ARMYs criticized the show for what had happened. Not long after, the official Twitter page for "The Kelly Clarkson Show" tweeted an apology and also thanking the ARMY for their corrections.
Netizens and ARMYs are not planning on forgiving that easily though as most fans want a more serious action from the show. ARMYs are also asking the show to apologize not just to BTS but also to BLITZERS as well.
"The Kelly Clarkson Show" has yet to release another update on the matter.
