Earlier this year in May, GOT7's Jay B confirmed the news that he finally signed with H1GHR MUSIC. As per JAY B, H1GHR MUSIC CEO, Jay Park, personally reached out to recruit him. Since then, he has been in continuous discussion with the former JYP idol and 2PM leader.

With that being announced, Ahgases (the fandom name of GOT7) and personal fans became excited to hear Jay B's future musical releases, especially that H1GHR MUSIC values artistic expression.

In addition, by joining H1GHR MUSIC, JAY B will also be able to maximize his full potential and establish himself as a solo artist not just in South Korea but also in the global music scene.

Soon after his singing, on the 14ht of May, the GOT7 leader and solo artist Jay B dropped his then-newest track under H1GHR Music. Entitled, "Switch It Up" Jay B's R&B masterpiece features K-Hip-hop artist sokodomo. Meanwhile, "Switch It Up" is produced by Cha Cha Malone.

Not long after GOT7's Jay B dropped the track, Ahgases flocked to watch the song's official live clip on YouTube. As of writing this article, the MV which features Jay B singing in the middle of the forest together with sokodomo has garnered over 8.2 million views and surpassed 447K likes.

After his successful first stint with H1GHR MUSIC, it seems as though GOT7's Jay B is planning to replicate the success or even surpass it as he recently shared the first teaser for his upcoming solo mini-album.

Last month in July, Jay B confirmed that he's gearing up to release a new EP on the 26th of August, which will be his first-ever EP to be released under his new label, H1GHR MUSIC.

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 16th of August, H1GHR MUSIC posted a teaser image that announces the title of Jay B's upcoming EP.

The title being "SOMO: FUME," which is for "Style of My Own: FUME." "SOMO: FUME" will be having seven songs, including his previous release, "Switch It Up," and Jay B will drop this on the 26th of August at 6 p.m. Korean Standard Time.
