May it be good or bad, receiving comments as a K-pop star is always something that is expected in the K-pop industry. But getting inappropriate and malicious comments is something that no one should ever deal with.

Recently, a former member of IZ*ONE was getting negative press from commenters and her agency decidedly will take legal actions, as most agencies do when their artists are under attack.

8D Entertainment, the agency of former IZ*ONE member Kang Hye Won, has gone on to announce that the agency will move with legal actions against the people who have made malicious comments towards Hye Won, alongside defamation of character.

As of writing this article, two days ago on the 14th of July, 8D Entertainment announced this statement:

"Hi, this is 8D Entertainment.

We would like to sincerely thank the fans who always give Kang Hye Won their love and support.

We are issuing a strong warning to those who repeatedly write or spread malicious online comments or posts about Kang Hye Won that include defamation of character, insults, sexual harassment, falsehoods, and malicious libel.

Through our monitoring, we have recognized that unacceptable malicious comments and groundless falsehoods that go beyond mere statements of opinion are currently being spread, and we have decided that it has reached a level where we can no longer stand by and watch. Therefore, we are currently preparing to take legal action.

By moving forward with strong legal action and punishment, we will make every effort to protect our artist's honor and rights.

Thank you."

Netizens and fans commend 8D Entertainment for their swift response towards Kang Hye Won's malicious commenters. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved as this might take a toll on the mental health of the K-pop star.

Stay tuned for further details regarding 8D Entertainment's next step regarding the issue.
