iKONICs Are In For A Treat As YG Entertainment’s iKON To Start Weverse Fan Community
iKON, with their immensely popular 2018 hit, "LOVE SCENARIO," is already a household name in the K-pop industry. Their fandom, known as iKONIC, is one of the most supportive fanbases out there.
Recent reports suggest that iKONICs will soon be able to interact with YG Entertainment's iKON on a more personal level!
Three months ago in March, iKON dropped its digital single entitled "Why Why Why," which fans enjoyed. Beyond that, YG Entertainment's K-pop boy group became a part of Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War."
Now that Mnet's competition is over, iKON is on the move on a project that will benefit their fans.
Yesterday, as of writing this article, on the 21st of June, iKON's agency, YG Entertainment, shared that the K-pop boy group opened a community for their fans on Weverse, sharing how thankful iKON is towards their fans.
iKON is the second K-pop group from YG Entertainment to be a part of Weverse. The first being YG Entertainment's TREASURE.
Notably, YG Entertainment's iKON will drop a video commemorating the start of their fan community on Weverse which also includes the 3rd and 4th episodes of content regarding behind-the-scenes clips of iKON from Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War."
Using Weverse, iKON will keep dropping never-before-seen photographs and videos.
Going back, YG Entertainment has gone on to announce that the agency plans to improve their partnership with HYBE, which is formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment, and Weverse Company.
"While establishing an innovative model that can provide new experiences to fans, our vision is to use the global power our agency's artists have to expand their influence," YG Entertainment noted.
Perhaps in the near future, other YG Entertainment artists will shift towards the Weverse. Maybe even the most popular girl group in the world, BLACKPINK. Regardless, at present, congratulations to iKON and iKONICs!
