Recently, an update on the case regarding ITZY's main vocalist, Lia, and an accuser who brought up alleged school violence and bullying accusations on the K-pop idol has surfaced. It seems as though JYP Entertainment is not yet done as they request a reinvestigation.

Four months ago in February, a middle school classmate of ITZY's Lia's middle school classmates posted on an online community alleging that they have been a victim of school violence brought upon by ITZY's main vocalist.

Due to the accusation, JYP Entertainment, ITZY's agency, shared that they took legal actions towards the alleged former classmate of Lia in the case of defamation. In 2020 the same alleged classmate brought up the same allegations towards Lia.

Previously on the 14th of June, Incheon Yeonsu Police Station announced that the former classmate has been fully cleared of the defamation charges brought upon by JYP Entertainment.

The police station noted that there was lacking evidence to prove that the allegations brought upon ITZY's Lia were not true.

As of writing this article, two days ago on the 15th of June, JYP Entertainment announced a detailed statement regarding the agency planning to request a reinvestigation into the case against ITZY's Lia's accuser.

JYP Entertainment expressed that although the police dropped the charges against Lia's classmate "because they did not have proof that the posts were false," the police also went on to say that "they were not acknowledging that the posts were true which means their decision not to forward the case to the prosecution did not mean they were confirming that ITZY's Lia had participated in school violence."

Personal fans of Lia and MIDZYs (the fandom name of ITZY) do not believe the accusations brought towards ITZY's main vocalist. Hopefully, everything will be clarified soon.
