‘Hotel Del Luna’ Actor, Yeo Jin Goo, Becomes The Host For Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999’

Netizens are extremely excited as South Korean actor, Yeo Jin Goo, becomes the host on Mnet's newest global project "Girls Planet 999."

Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" is a show revolving around Korean, Chinese, and Japanese females who will be the contestants of the show. All the contestants want to debut in a K-pop girl group and the winner might get that very chance.

Mnet's new show, "Girls Planet 999," will grow and mature and progress in "Girls Planet," the imaginary world of the show. 

A recent teaser confirmed Yeo Jin Goo as the host as his narration starts the video. Yeo Jin Goo explains, "Aside from the 99 girls, there are those who will create Girls Planet together." 

Yeo Jin Goo goes on to share the different roles in the show. Among the roles include the K-pop Master. The K-pop master will be the female's mentor and role model. Another role is the Professional Masters, which will help the contestants excel in various ways.

Yeo Jin Goo, as the host, is the Planet Master. He will be the one guiding the viewers throughout the "Girls Planet."

Lastly, the viewers are dubbed as the Planet Guardians, as Yeo Jin Goo notes that it is the most important role. Yeo Jin Goo inquires, "In Girls Planet, whose dream will you protect?"

On being a host, Yeo Jin Goo mentioned, "First of all, as a fan of K-pop, I am happy and grateful to participate in Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999.' Including all the global fans, I think of us as one family who are linked by our common interest in K-pop, and I will support the dreams of the 99 contestants." 

The South Korean actor went on to continue, "Additionally, I think it will be a challenge because I can show a new side of myself. I will prepare and work hard a lot, so please look upon me well even if I seem a bit inexperienced."

Mnet's "Girls Planet 999" is now part of UNIVERSE, the fandom platform. The voting for the show and exclusive content will all revolve around UNIVERSE.
