"Our trainee days were pretty intense. I think of moments in my trainee days, and they kinda flew by. I remember I cried a little bit. This actually happened to me. I was very happy."

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, BLACKPINK Rosé went deep and personal, sharing her journey in YG Entertainment with BLACKPINK.

In her audition, Rosé shared that her father was with her. She said that she was there because her dad had told her that he noticed that Rosé obviously loves music.

Rosé remembers being in the audition room. "I'm probably not gonna get in. I did my thing and I was just gonna try to enjoy it since I'm probably not gonna get in and I'm just gonna try to remember this moment and get some good memories out of it [...]" the BLACKPINK vocalist recalled.

Additionally, Rosé was very intimidated the first time she saw the other members of BLACKPINK. She said that while she walked in for the audition, she saw a bunch of girls in a room, and she just felt intimidated.

Although she was initially worried, she immediately made a connection with the other members of BLACKPINK. Almost instantaneously, she became close friends with BLACKPINK's main dancer, Lisa, due to the fact that both of the girls were far from their home, Lisa coming from Thailand and Rosé from New Zealand and Australia.

Additionally, another member of BLACKPINK, Jennie, was the one in the group to teach and show Rosé South Korean culture. Although having roots in South Korea, Rosé was born in New Zealand but grew up in Australia.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK's Jisoo was considered by Rosé as the cool one yet the goofiest member as well.

Lastly, Rosé recalled her first-ever performance. She believed she did not even think of it as her first performance because she was just busy thinking of all the things she had to do. Rosé admitted she shed tears after BLACKPINK's first performance.

Rosé has come a long way from a girl from New Zealand to one of the most popular K-pop idols in the world. There is nowhere else to go but up for Rosé and BLINKS, alongside her newfound sisters in BLACKPINK, will be there for her through every step.
