BLACKPINK’s Jennie Is The Latest K-Pop Idol To Represent ‘Chum Churum’ Soju
The world's most famous K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, has been around since 2016. YG Entertainment's premiere girl group has been active for five years now, and it is expected, aside from their group partnerships, that the girls have their own individual partnerships. One of these partnerships recently released a commercial film featuring one of the members of BLACKPINK.
Jennie, a member of YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK, was dubbed as the new face of "Chum Churum," the famous soju brand under Lotte Chilsung. This occurred on the 2nd of February earlier this year. Jennie's likeness has been paired alongside the famous soju in multiple commercials, posters, and ads.
As mentioned above, just as of last month, BLACKPINK's Jennie officially became the latest female K-pop idol to endorse Lotte's alcoholic beverage: "Chum Churum" soju. Prior to Jennie, famous South Korean celebrities such as actress Shin Min-a, Miss A's Suzy, and soloist Lee Hyori, were promoting the famous South Korean Spirit.
BLACKPINK's Queen of K-Pop will be endorsing and spearheading the rebranding of "Chum Churum" this 2021. The drink was set to reduce its alcohol percentage to 16.5% from its original alcohol percentage, which was 16.9%.
Recently, BLACKPINK Jennie's commercial film for "Chum Churum" was uploaded on the 18th of March. The fifteen-second video features Jennie on a swing as a narrator endorses "Chum Churum" Soju.
The original Soju of "Chum Churum" is supposedly made from a combination of rice and grains. Popularly dubbed as the 'national spirit' of South Korea, the soju is an immensely popular spirit in countries across Asia. It is endorsed to be very smooth when ingested and is known to subtly carry notes of the tanginess of ginger and the sweetness of pears.
BLINKS, the fandom of BLACKPINK, are loyal fans of the group. Regardless of what they endorse, surely their fans will be there to support BLACKPINK.
