EXO member D.O. is not going anywhere. That is SM Entertainment assurance after reports indicating that the singer-actor will not be renewing his contract with the company.

A representative of SM has denied that D.O. is leaving the agency. The rep said the report about the singer-actor departing SM is completely false as there are more years left on the contract of the EXO members before it expires. He added that SM will officially release a statement about it soon.

It was earlier reported by The Asia Business Daily (via Soompi) that all members of EXO renewed their contracts with SM except for D.O. SM and the 100 Days My Prince actor allegedly failed to come to an agreement. The latter eventually decided not to renew.

D.O. will reportedly be leaving the agency after the expiration of his contract. Based on former EXO members Luhan and Kris' lawsuit against SM, the group has a 10-year contract with the label. This means the members can only leave the company by 2022 if they decided not to renew.

However, it looks like the members have different expiration dates for their contract with SM. It appears that D.O. inked an agreement with the label in 2010.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that the 26-year-old singer is also currently quietly preparing for his solo promotions. However, nothing is confirmed as of yet.

Speaking of going solo, EXO member Chen has been confirmed to release a solo album possibly in April. SM Entertainment confirmed Chen's solo project but said the release date for the album is yet to be finalized.

Both D.O. and Chen are the main vocalists of EXO.  Aside from his achievements with EXO, D.O. has also praised for his acting skills particularly in his recent two projects: 100 Days My Prince and Swing Kids.

As for Chen, he impresses everyone with his powerful vocals as a member of EXO and its sub-unit EXO-CBX. He also sang some of the most notable drama OSTs including the "Everytime" for Descendants of the Sun, "Cherry Blossom Love Song" for 100 Days My Prince, and "For You" along with fellow Exo members Xiumin and Baekhyun for Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
