'Supernatural' Star Misha Collins Survives Snowstorm Car Accident Unhurt; Series' Seattle Fan Convention Cancelled
Supernatural fans were shocked to learn that series actor Misha Collins got involved in a car accident due to the snowstorm in Seattle over the weekend. As a result, the actor failed to make it to a Supernatural fan convention in the city.
Fortunately, Collins was unhurt as he shared a couple of photos of him at the accident site. The images show the actor posing in front of his black car that went off the road due to the snow-covered roads. Apparently, Collins is on his way to the Supernatural Seattle convention when the accident happened.
"Hey #SPNSea! So sorry we can't be there; the WA roads are treacherous. I was going 5mph last night when this happened. I'm fine ... I've sent u something in the vendor's room to help keep you warm. Miss you all," he wrote. Collins was referring to the boxes of pizza that he sent to the fans to show his gratitude to them for attending the convention despite the frigid weather.
It turned out that Collins, who famously plays the role of angel Castiel in the series, is not the only one who got held up by the snowstorm in Washington state. Some fans also had a hard time traveling to the convention venue. Ultimately, the event was suspended after the governor calls a state of emergency.
The Supernatural loyal fandom once again shows their support to the cast. Although disappointed for the canceled panel, many thanked Collins for his kindness and generosity even after an accident.
The Supernatural convention is supposed to be a sort of celebration for the series' 300th episode which was aired last week. The episode featured the Winchester family reunion.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprised his role as Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam's (Jared Padalecki) father, John Winchester. It was a bittersweet reunion because, in the end, John has no choice but to leave his sons and wife, Mary (Samantha Smith), so the timeline will not be altered further.
Morgan has also expressed his appreciation to the devoted fan base of Supernatural. He stressed that the key factor in making the show stay on the air for 14 seasons is because of its fans. He said to reach 300 episodes is a milestone that only means people love the show.
Meanwhile, Supernatural Season 14 is taking one-month hiatus following its 300th episode. The Winchester brothers and the rest of the gang will be backed on March 7 with an episode, titled "Ouroboros."
In the upcoming Supernatural Season 14 Episode 14, Castiel will try to explain to Jack (Alexander Calvert) that he can't use his remaining soul in helping the team defeat their enemies. Castiel, as protective guardian to Jack, fears that the Nephilim son of Lucifer will eventually become soulless for trying to prove to his hunter friends that he can still help them.
It looks like Jack's stubbornness will lead to the death of another character. The CW longest-running series airs every Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.
