K-pop fans freak out when some of the music videos of their favorites K-pop artists were removed on YouTube. Although the MVs disappearance for about an hour and a half only, many fans raised concern on the matter.

It was revealed that an Indian company, Aiplex Software Private Limited,  made false copyright claims on several K-pop music videos and took down the MV on Tuesday. The music videos that were removed by Aiplex are BTS member V solo track "Singularity," TWICE's hit songs "Yes Or Yes," "Likey," and  "Like Ooh-Ahh," and BLACKPINK's DU-DU DDU-DU" and member Jennie's "Solo." The MV of PSY's "New Face" as well as the audio version of BIGBANG's "Flower Road" were also temporarily deleted.

"As soon as we found out the problem, we shared it with YouTube and solved it. We believed making the videos live again is the most crucial part, so we tried our best to make [them reappear] as soon as possible. While YouTube is still finding out the cause of this problem, it is good news at least that the videos are back right away," a representative from TWICE's label JYP Entertainment told Forbes.

All of the affected MV has millions of views and some are also the most viewed K-pop contents on YouTube today. BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU," for instance, is currently the most-viewed MV by a K-pop girl group with 604 million views.

The music videos were now back on YouTube after at least an hour and a half of being inaccessible to viewers. A petition is also launched to ask YouTube to permanently ban the company on the site. The petition has already over 7,000 signatures as of writing.

Many K-pop fans have expressed concern how easy for anyone to make false copyright claims on the video sharing site. Some also pointed out that Aiplex has been doing it for years.

"They've been doing this for YEARS to smaller YouTubers. YouTube should have banned them a long time ago. Now it's an embarrassment for the company that the trolls got away with it," one fan commented.

Meanwhile, both BTS and TWICE attended the recent 2019 Seoul Music Awards and took home some trophies. The Big Hit Entertainment septet won the Daesang (grand prize) and the Best Album award for the Love Yourself: Tear album. TWICE took home a Bonsang award.

As for BLACKPINK, the group is currently on the Southeast Asia leg of their BLACKPINK 2019 In Your Area world tour. They will be making a stop in Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Moreover, the group is also set to perform at the 2019 Coachella Festival on April 12 and 19.
