BIGBANG's Daesung unveiled his latest trot track "Hando Chogwa" on December 10, bringing together an all-star production team that includes bandmate G-Dragon. During a radio interview two days later, he confirmed the group's preparations for their 20th anniversary Coachella performance.

G-Dragon and KUSH Team Up on Production

Producer KUSH from THE BLACK LABEL initiated the project after developing the "Hando Chogwa" concept, which translates to "over the limit." G-Dragon joined the collaboration, with all three artists contributing to the songwriting.

"KUSH hyung came up with the keyword, and it seemed fun so we kept building on it," Daesung explained during his December 12 appearance on KBS CoolFM's "Park Myung Soo's Radio Show." He described the creative process as KUSH laying the foundation while G-Dragon "added delicious seasoning."

The single album includes three tracks: the title song alongside "A Rose" and "Maybe Solitude Suits Me."

TWICE's Sana Stars in Music Video

The mood film generated attention by featuring TWICE member Sana, marking an unexpected cross-generational collaboration. When radio host Park Myung Soo asked about compensating his junior colleague, Daesung confirmed he gave her a gift for the appearance.

Building Toward 20th Anniversary

Daesung revealed that his 2025 solo activities directly connect to BIGBANG's anniversary strategy. "We've been talking about it for years. That's why I worked hard on solo activities this year," he said. "We're building things up, and starting in April next year with Coachella in the US, we'll be active as a full group."

BIGBANG will perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 12 and 19, 2026. The trio-G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung-was originally scheduled for the 2020 festival before COVID-19 forced its cancellation.

The group debuted on August 19, 2006, making 2026 their 20th anniversary year.

Industry Recognition and Group Dynamics

JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young previously praised Daesung's unique vocal approach, telling him he knows how to "sing for money" in a way that "charms hearts and opens wallets." Park Jin Young compared him to god member Kim Tae Woo as singers with genuine human appeal.

During the radio interview, Daesung addressed his "cash-rich" reputation from early career days, clarifying that his money now sits in the bank rather than as physical cash. He joked that G-Dragon pays for most group meals, describing him as "an endless spring."

Park Myung Soo recalled recently covering both his own bill and G-Dragon's party's meal at a restaurant, noting the reimbursement hasn't arrived yet.

When the radio host proposed DJing at a future BIGBANG concert with remixed tracks, Daesung diplomatically suggested he discuss it with G-Dragon first.

Daesung closed by sharing his career aspiration: "I want to sing on stage and retire on stage. My dream is to finish by saying 'Thanks to everyone, it's been a happy life,' put down the microphone, and retire."
