‘Running Man’ Star Song Ji Hyo Joins New Drama ‘Lovely Horribly,’ Partners With ‘My Golden Life’ Actor Park Shi Hoo
Avid fans of Song Ji Hyo will soon see the South Korean actress in a new drama. The Running Man star recently joined the upcoming KBS production titled Lovely Horribly alongside My Golden Life" actor Park Shi Hoo.
Song Ji Hyo will make her return to drama-land with the horror romantic comedy Lovely Horribly. The actress will play the lead role in the said production, according to Soompi. Viewers will soon see the Running Man" star portraying a drama writer whose unlucky streak will have her experience several unfortunate situations.
Unlike Song Ji Hyo's unlucky character, Park Shi Hoo will play the role of an elite actor whose life is full of blessings. Fate will soon push the two characters together with one person enjoying a successful career while the other would always experience misfortune.
In a recent interview, Song Ji Hyo revealed her excitement in starting a new drama project with an intriguing storyline. The Running Man star also promised to work hard and showcase great chemistry with her Lovely Horribly" co-stars and staff members.
The upcoming KBS horror romantic comedy will mark the actress' first drama project for 2018. Viewers last saw Song Ji Hyo in an episode of tvN's special Drama Stage series titled Chief B and the Love Letter" that was released in 2017. She also appeared in a cameo role in the South Korean remake of the US television series Entourage.
Meanwhile, Song Ji Hyo continues to be one of the more popular South Korean stars in Asia. In a recent survey report released by the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), as cited by AllKPop, the Running Man star was identified as the top Korean celebrity that the survey's respondents from nine different Asian countries wanted to meet. The actress also topped KOTRA's various polls such as the "Korean Figure who Represents Technological Advancements," the Korean celebrity who best suited the respondent's personal "type," the Korean star who reminded survey participants of quality Korean products to buy and other lists.
Song Ji Hyo and Park Shi Hoo's new drama is expected to premiere in August. The said production is slated to replace the KBS sci-fi drama Are You Human Too?
