The Star Wars Universe is officially back on track with Solo: A Star Wars Story as the new standalone film answered several questions about some of the most important characters from the original and prequel series. Fans learned how Han Solo became best friends with Chewbacca and there is finally evidence on how Han managed to complete the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. But is it possible that Solo also hinted at what could happen in the next Star Wars spin-off movie? There are speculations that the significant cameo of a famous villain offered a clue as to what will happen when Ewan McGregor returns in the Obi-Wan Kenobi film.

In Solo: A Star Wars Story, Q'ira killed Dryden Vos then assumed his position as the new leader of Crimson Dawn. To do so, Emilia Clarke's character contacted their boss to inform him about Dryden's death, and it was revealed that the villain behind the criminal organization is Maul. Interestingly, this means that Han Solo and Chewbacca had almost acquired coaxium for the former Darth Maul, a character who was thought to have been killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace.
But how will Maul's cameo in Solo: A Star Wars Story affect the next standalone film? There have been speculations that Ray Park has been tapped to appear as the Sith Lord in more Star Wars movies. Naturally, this could mean a significant reunion with Ewan McGregor in the planned Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off film, which could follow the events that happened in Solo. The two might even engage in an epic rematch similar to the lightsaber duel in Star Wars Rebels Season 3.
