Fans Shocked As Gong Yoo Decidedly Drops Out Of Kim Tae Ri’s K-Drama ‘The Devil’

Netizens were hopeful to see the superstar collaboration between actor Gong Yoo and actress Kim Tae Ri in the upcoming K-drama "The Devil." But it seems as though it was never meant to be.

In the previous year, specifically in late 2021, it was announced that superstar actor Gong Yoo was in talks to be a part of Kim Tae Ri's upcoming K-drama, "The Devil," currently its working title. 

While Gong Yoo was seriously considering a role in the upcoming project, it was recently announced on the 13th of January that Gong Yoo had decided to drop out of the K-drama with Kim Tae Ri, making netizens and fans sad.

The K-drama would have been Gong Yoo's next work after his "The Silent Sea" project, and he would have been set to work side by side with actress Kim Tae Ri. But, it was reported that he turned the role down for K-drama "The Devil" in the end. 

"The Devil" will notably be written by star writer, Kim Eun Hee, who has worked on a plethora of K-drama hits such as tvN's "Signal," Netflix's "Kingdom" and SBS's "Sign," which made fans even more disappointed of Gong Yoo's decision of turning down the role.

Although many netizens and fans are saddened by Gong Yoo's decision to turn down the upcoming K-drama with Kim Tae Ri, many are now wondering if there is a specific reason, such as a better K-drama or even film that was offered to the superstar.

It has not yet been revealed if Gong Yoo has been offered another project.
