Lee Jung Jae, known for his roles in "Chief of Staff," "Air City," and most recently "Squid Game," has reached even more acclaim internationally due to the success of Netflix's hit show.

Notably, he is already a household name in South Korea, but Lee Jung Jae has reached global success as he has now garnered multitudes of fans from other countries due to his amazing charisma and skills in acting.

Thus it came to the surprise of his Korean fans when an overseas interviewer asked Lee Jung Jae a disrespectful question.

On the 10th of November, a video surfaced online which showed Lee Jung Jae being interviewed by a reporter from "EXTRA," an American celebrity TV show.

In the clip, the reporter asked Lee Jung Jae, "For you, I'm sure you can't leave the house anymore without people recognizing you. What has been the biggest life-change for you since the series came out?"

As mentioned above, Lee Jung Jae was already a household name in South Korea prior to the success of "Squid Game." Thus, fans believe the question that was asked was inappropriate and disrespectful towards the Korean actor.

Prior to answering, Lee Jung Jae waited for his interpreter to explain the question. The actor then responded, "Yes, that is correct. Of course, the biggest change is that many people recognize me. In America, that is."

Lee Jung Jae then explained how much attention he has gotten in America.

"Even in the restaurants or in the streets, people recognize me. So I'm startled as well and I think 'why is that person looking at me?' But when we lock eyes, we talk about 'Squid Game.' So I feel that the show was very successful," Lee Jung Jae added.

Although Lee Jung Jae is unfazed by the question, his fans think that the reporter was ignorant for phrasing the question as such.
