Here Are Leading 4th Gen K-Pop Girl Groups Based On Twitter Followers This October

With news circulating about YG Entertainment's upcoming girl group and JYP Entertainment teasing their newest girl group, the race to gain dominance as the top 4th K-Pop girl group has become tighter day by day. 

Recently, JYP Entertainment's ITZY made fans go "LOCO" with their newest single while SM Entertainment's aespa made a "Savage" comeback right after their "Next Level" banger.

In this article, we listed the leading 4th-generation K-Pop girl groups for the month of October based on their Twitter follower growth for the month.

#1 ITZY from JYP Entertainment

Topping the list is JYP Entertainment's ITZY with over 178.2k new followers. The quintet is currently boasting a total of over 3.9 million followers, the largest among 4th-generation K-Pop girl groups. ITZY has recently released the Japanese version of their 2020 hit "Wannabe" ahead of their official Japanese debut.

#2 aespa from SM Entertainment

Following ITZY at second place is SM Entertainment's aespa. The 4-membered girl group, that is if you don't count their "ae" members, saw a 123.1k increase in their follower count last October. Currently, aespa has over 1.6 million total Twitter followers. aespa has also made history as the first-ever K-Pop girl group to join the lineup for the 95th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

#3 bugAboo from A Team Entertainment

Securing the third spot on this list is a newcomer. bugAboo from A Team Entertainment opened their Twitter account just last September and the rookie girl group has now over 47.6k total followers. In October alone, bugAboo gained over 31.4k followers on Twitter.

#4 STAYC from High Up Entertainment

Taking the fourth spot is STAYC from High Up Entertainment. The trendy girl group who captured the hearts of K-Pop fans with their hits "Stereotype" and "ASAP" gained over 31.4k new followers on Twitter for the month of October. As of the writing of this article, STAYC has over 335.7k total followers.

#5 Cherry Bullet from FNC Entertainment

Completing the list of the top five 4th-generation K-Pop girl groups is FNC Entertainment's Cherry Bullet. The girl group gained over 15.3k new Twitter followers this October and currently has over 183.1k total followers. Cherry Bullet is expected to make a comeback after the return of its members from the hit survival show "Girls Planet 999."
