Netizens Heartbroken As Super Junior’s Heechul & TWICE’s Momo Officially Breaks Up

Dating in the K-pop industry has always been a controversial topic to talk about between netizens and fans. Beyond some fans being accepting and others rejecting, there are always a handful of K-pop couples who are loved and adored by fans.

One such case is the K-pop power couple known as MoChul, the couple name of TWICE's Momo and Super Junior's Heechul. Since the two have confirmed their relationship last year, fans have been swooning over the interaction between the two K-pop stars.

Momo and Heechul previously confirmed their relationship back on the 1st of January in 2020. But the two have been linked with one another since 2019.

Thus, when a fairytale couple is produced, fans and netizens who support them almost never expect the couple to break up. But recently, one of the most beloved K-pop couples have decidedly parted ways.

As of writing this article, on the 8th of July, a plethora of Korean media outlets have reported that as per an industry insider, Super Junior's Kim Heechul and TWICE's Momo have decidedly terminated their relationship, parting ways with one another.

"From my understanding, Momo and Heechul have decidedly ended their relationship with one another. Both of them are quite busy with their own careers that they have grown apart. They have decided to end their relationship and go back to being colleagues in the K-pop industry," the K-pop insider noted.

To put the nail in the coffin, the respective agencies of Super Junior's Kim Heechul and TWICE's Momo have also released a statement.

Label SJ and JYP Entertainment have both revealed, "We've checked with the artist, and it is true that they broke up." 

Adding to this, Label SJ noted, "Please understand that we cannot answer the details of it as it is the artist's private life."
