Netizens And Fans Call Out JYP Entertainment For Maltreatment Towards DAY6
JYP Entertainment's DAY6 made its debut with the K-pop agency on the 7th of September, 2015. This means that the members of Day6, Sungjin, Jae, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, have been with the entertainment company for almost 6 years now.
This year will mark their official 6th anniversary with JYP Entertainment. In most cases, artists who have spent that amount of time with an agency would not even be considered 'maltreated' due to the amount of mutual respect the artists and the agency have for each other.
But it seems as though JYP Entertainment does not put DAY6 in the same regard as their other artists such as 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, NiziU, and even J.Y. Park himself.
This was recently evident as netizens and fans of DAY6 called out JYP Entertainment for 'forgetting' DAY6 in a recent promotional release.
Netizens and My Days (the fandom name of DAY6) called out DAY6's agency, JYP Entertainment, due to the fact that JYP Entertainment showed neglect toward the boy band in a recent promotional.
Netizens have stated that JYP Entertainment was showing 'abuse', 'discrimination', and 'unfair treatment' towards DAY6. This is due to the fact that JYP Entertainment did not include DAY6 for the promotional lineup for the agency's 2021 Japan Popup Cafe.
JYP Entertainment's special cafe dedicated dishes for their notable artists such as 2PM, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, NiziU, and even J.Y. Park himself. But DAY6 was nowhere to be seen nor mentioned in the lineup.
DAY6 has been loyal to JYP Entertainment for almost 6 years straight now and this is unfair treatment towards them, fans noted.
Fans and netizens are now demanding JYP Entertainment to treat DAY6 better following the recent slip-up. As of writing this article, the agency has not yet responded to the issue pointed out by fans.
