Wheein Has Not Resigned With RBW Amidst Successful MAMAMOO Comeback, Agency Releases Statement
On the 2nd of June, MAMAMOO made a comeback releasing their most recent mini-album, "WAW," which was spearheaded with the title track "Where Are We Now." As of writing this article, a week later, Moomoos are shocked as reports fluctuate that Wheein might leave RBW.
Speculations have risen, such as MAMAMOO's Wheein parting ways with RBW as the South Korean vocalist still has not resigned from her initial company, RBW.
As per reports from Newsen, MAMAMOO's Wheein has not yet renewed her contract with RBW. Ahead of her successful solo comeback with "Redd," fans were expecting Wheein to resign with RBW, most especially because of the amount of success MAMAMOO has had with "WAW."
If Wheein does decide to part ways with RBW, multiple companies are on standby and are more than willing to give the noted South Korean artist an offer. But personal fans and Moomoos are really hoping that Wheein will stay with RBW but will be willing to respect the artist's decisions.
Following the allegations, RBW went on to drop a statement with regards to the status of MAMAMOO's Wheein in the agency. The statement that was shared by RBW has confirmed that nothing has been set in stone yet, and negotiations are still undergoing.
RBW has gone on to state to Newsen the following announcement:
"No decision has been officially made yet regarding the renewal of Wheein's contract. It is still under final discussion, and nothing has been finalized.
We will officially announce the result once a decision is made."
Wheein has been with RBW since 2011, and it would be a comfortable and safe decision for the artist to stay with her prior agency. But if Wheein ultimately decides to leave RBW, she surely will be highly sought out.
MAMAMOO is also expected to continue as a group with Wheein if Wheein ultimately decides to leave RBW.
Stay tuned for updates!
